Every template in the esports-org space looks the same. Dark background, neon accent, hero video loop, roster grid, done. The brief was to build something that could not be templated: a landing page where the crest itself is the product, rendered in the browser and reacting in real time.
The crest came first: a faceted V, drawn as vector and then built as geometry. The harder problem was showing it off. Every reference in the category was a pre-rendered video standing in for interactivity, which reads as a placeholder the moment anything else on the page responds to you.
So the glass is real. It refracts the live text rather than faking it, which means the crest reacts to whatever sits behind it instead of playing back a decision made in a render farm months earlier. The headline sits behind the crest and is read through it.

Then it breaks. The crest shatters into its own facets and they carry down the page, so the move between sections is one object continuing rather than a scroll from one block to the next.

What they reassemble into is not the crest again. The roster was not signed yet, so the facets gather into something unresolved and stop there. A placeholder page usually means a page with nothing on it; this one is the same object, honestly incomplete, which is exactly what the client had to say at the time.

That line does more than a countdown timer would. It tells you the org is being built deliberately rather than assembled in a hurry, which is the same thing the crest is saying in a different medium.
